MISSION STATEMENT
The Easton Musical Theatre Boosters club engages, inspires, and challenges audiences with supporting musical theatre student productions. We fund and support each generation of theatre students; we provide arts education programs that promote life-long learning to a diverse community; and we celebrate the essential power of the theatre to illuminate our common humanity.
CORE COMPANY VALUES
Artistic Excellence
We collaborate to create an atmosphere that empowers students to do their finest work. Our rigorous standards reflect our commitment to excellence in every area of theatrical production. We take pride in our outstanding track record of students who want to participate, and we cultivate an audience that expects to be challenged.
Communication
We aspire to work as a team within and between departments. We respect our students, staff, volunteers and parents’ time and resources by striving to meet deadlines.
Community
Our role in the local theatre community is vital to the Easton area. The people we meet before and after a performance, the individuals that attend a performance, and the businesses and theatre groups around us, are all part of our family.
Diversity
We are committed to an environment that fosters inclusion and honesty, and reflects our community. We respect varied backgrounds and work/life experiences. We celebrate student diversity.
Education
Theatre teaches. The performing arts teach students how to think creatively through imagination. Creative thinking skills are critical in the world of business leaders, where the ability to create solutions to problems is a necessary and valued asset. Theatre teaches young people how to appreciate our fellow human beings from all races and religions. We stress the importance of respecting other points of view.
Financial Responsibility
We honor our audience and Board by being responsible with our finances, and we strive to create beautiful theatre with elegance and economy.
Respect
All great work is nurtured in an atmosphere of civility and mutual respect. Harmonious and collaborative rehearsal rooms, production shops, and school spaces are our priority. We value physical safety and a supportive and fun work environment. We will go above and beyond to make everyone who works with us feel welcomed, supported, and challenged to do their best work.
